History of the Eclipse brand and board

I don't know when I first came up with the Eclipse name, but the first ever logo was finalized on Feburary 4th, 2020. I may have had the brand in mind since mid-late 2019 or maybe even earlier.
The first public mention of Eclipse was slightly earlier, on Feburary 3th, 2020, as part of the Computer Monitor Textures addon I made for Garry's Mod. It was used for the nepOS textures under the name of Eclipse Web Browser.
I would like to eventually have a web browser under the Eclipse brand, but unlike in that addon, it's probably not going to be based off of Firefox 68 ESR.
After then it was pretty much radio silence for the Eclipse brand. I may have showed it off on a Discord server during this time, but anything from that time is long gone. The only thing I can find was a mention of Eclipse Web Browser during an online RP on April 1st, 2020.

January 5th, 2021 is the date me and Kouto forked ABXD 3.0 to begin making the board. After looking around for a domain, we obtained ownership of the eclipse.cx domain on January 7th, 2021. The reasoning for Kouto was that CX is a smiley, while for me, it just sounded like the perfect domain.
After a short launch period on January 10th, 2021, we realised that ABXD 3.0 couldn't provide the features I wanted and we scrapped it, instead going for phpBB 3.3. This was when win32 was given co-owner as Kouto temporarily left at this stage.
Early morning on January 11th, 2021 was the phpBB board was first installed. I had to do some configuration with win32, and the board actually became live on early morning on January 12th, 2021.
Kouto soon came back and helped set up the board, helping with titles and descriptions of some of the boards. Kouto also helped us get Theodor, the developer of Mypal on the board.
Kouto had admin at this point, but eventually resigned from an admin position, leaving just me and win32. After this, everything seemed to be going good.

Until June 17th, 2021.
The quickest and best way to describe this day is with this quote from Kouto.

"The main thing that seemingly caused a problem was (what it looked like to K4sum1 and I) the sudden influx of potential contributors pouring in out of nowhere who demanded action, for reference. This seems to imply a certain place caught wind of that thread who were involved with me in 2017, and attempted to throw me out of the board permanently by pestering the admins to do something."

This was the day that win32 split, with Ximonite, docR, i430VX, and others soon leaving as well.
He or someone had taken this false info from this third party and began spreading it around, between his friends, spreading FUD and misinformation about me and Kouto, who at the time was just a board advisor.
I won't go into too much detail about this as there are better posts on the board, but at the time, these events really scared me, and got me down.
I was initially going to let win32, Ximonite, docR, and others stay, of course stripped of any ranks they had, but they showed that all they wanted to do was spam.
I re-restored the board and just immeadately banned them. Various people left, though one person had left, then later came back, but he hasn't been active after coming back.
After that, some people have left, even fewer have joined, and I've been unable to recruit much of anyone. This event is why this site is filled with "Please invite people" and such, stuff I would normally avoid using.

This has been a summarized overview of the history of Eclipse. I tried to go into detail where it was needed without making this too too long. Hope it was interesting to read.
